Megamind (2010)

Directed by Tom McGarth

Megamind (Will Ferrell) comes from another plant and so does Metro Man (Brad Pitt). As they arrive on earth, they are put in very different settings. Metro Man arrives in a wealthy household and Megamind arrives in quite the opposite. They both go to the same school where their characters start to flourish. After that, it’s pretty much how you expect it to go. It’s Megamind vs. Metro Man in Metro City. On a very special day in Metro City, Megamind comes up with a plan to take down his opponent and to everyone’s surprise, it actually works and from there on Megamind rules the city. Once all the fun is done, he doesn’t see how to continue, so he transforms into Bernard (Ben Stiller) and he and Roxanne (Tina Fey) develop a relationship. The only one against that is Roxannes Cameraman Hal (Jonah Hill) who has always had a major crush on Roxanne. And one day Megamind has an Idea that is meant for fun for him but ends up causing a lot of damage. During there problems, they discover the truth about what happened to Metro Man.

I haven’t seen any movies with Will Ferrell, but I must say that I liked it. He has this undertone when he is sarcastic, which makes the movie that much better.

I loved loved loved this movie. It’s so funny and creative. It’s so great. I was laughing so badly for most of the movie. This movie is just great.

After (2019)

A heartwarming love story of a good girl and a bad boy.

Directed by Jenny Gage

Written by Anna Todd

Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) is a good student and strives for a new adventure in college. On the first day of school, she meets Landon (Shane Paul McGhie)and they become friends. One evening she meets Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) in a very questionable setting. She finds out that he is a good friend of her roommate Steph (Khadijha Red Thunder). They “casually ” bump into each other a few days later, they exchange some looks, but nothing really comes of it. Sometime after that, Hardin invites her to his favorite place in the woods and which I may add is very weird. We do a jump in time and there is a cute little compilation of Tessa and Hardin being “cute”. So a few days, weeks, months later (we don’t really know) Tessa’s mom (Selma Blair) arrives at school and finds out that Tessa and Hardin are a couple. And now you may ask: How in god name did her mom find out? Well to sum it up… Noah (Dylan Arnold) came to see Tessa who was already with Hardin and was really disappointed, so he went back home and told Tessa’s mom. So you know…there’s nothing wrong with him. So we encounter some problems along the way but life is basically fine. After some time they move in together and then the problems start.

This is the first movie in which Josephine Langford is the main character and I think she did brilliantly, although some situations appear to be awkward.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin is the young Voldemort in Harry Potter and already then he already then had this fiery presence and he hasn’t lost it. Hardin is the most interesting character and he brings it over in such a fierce way.

I honestly loved this movie. It’s great in a pathetic way. It’s really cheesy, but it’s still fun to watch. But let’s be honest, this movie is a mess. The scenario is a mess, the scenes are a mess like are an absolute catastrophe, but on the bright side, it has some humor.

After: The After Series, Book 1

Fallen (2016)

An angelic story full of love and adventure. The story of an angel that falls in love with a human.

Directed by Scott Hicks

Written by Lauren Kate

Luce (Addison Timlin) has had a number of weird incidents in her life. She is sent to a special school. She is shown around by Arianne (Daisy Head) and meets the gang. She meets Penn (Lola Kirke) and they instantly become friends. Some really weird things happen and Luce nearly gets hurt. This one guy in her class, Daniel (Jeremy Irvine), is acting very suspicious and Luce gets the hint that she might know him. But the question is, from where does she know him. They do a bit of the devil’s tango and Daniel meets the competition of Cam (Harrison Gilbertson). One day Penn, Luce, and Trevor (Leo Suter) are in the library to look into why Luce has the feeling that she knows Daniel, but something happens that’s not going to be good and fresh. Luce is left traumatized, but she finally finds out the truth about Daniel.

I haven’t seen Addison Timlin in any other movie, but for what I saw it was good, although it lacked a bit of emotions sometime.

I’ve seen Jeremy Irvine in a movie before and already in that it was heartfelt. In this movie he impersonates this cold angle that doesn’t show a lot of emotions and I think Irvine impersonated him pretty well.

I really liked the movie, especially the story of it. It’s a really good story in a mystical way. I love the romances that develop and end. I also like this good and evil side of the story and I think it brings a great twist into the movie. I overall liked the movie and really recommend it.
